Activating your Travel SIM Card

This SIM card require activation by us, we will activate the SIM card based on the Activation date(s) you provide at checkout (except on Saturday, Sunday & Monday), if your travel date changes simply inform us minimum 5 days in advance.

Ensure data roaming is turned on (where applicable) and restart the phone to get the data working.

If you’re unsure about your Activation Dates, you can enter your estimated date/s for your SIMs. Once you know your dates, please let us know via email at [email protected] or our via live chat.

Note: Please do not try to activate the card yourself as it may interfere with the activation process, if the data is not working please contact us first so we can investigate, live chat options are available via FB messenger and WhatsApp.

Validity of the SIM

**This is a GiffGaff UK SIM card, when you activate the SIM outside of the UK (i.e. in Europe) you only get 14 days “Roaming Like At Home” period. If you activate the SIM in the UK and use it there for a few days, you will receive a full 30 days “Roaming Like At Home” period. If you used the SIM in Europe first (example for 14 days), when you travel back to the UK, the “Roaming Like At Home” period will refresh it self after using the SIM in the UK for a few days. In terms of these “few days” GiffGaff mean that you should use your phone/services as normal such as send a few texts, make some calls and use your data in the UK. The more usage in the UK the better as this will ensure the “Roaming Like At Home” (RLAH) feature is reset.
