Important Notes
- Adding the eSIM outside the coverage country may result in a “failed activation,” which is normal. The eSIM will activate once you reach your destination.

Troubleshooting Guide
eSIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running.
- Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
- Connect to Wi-Fi and disable airplane mode before scanning the eSIM.
- Confirm mobile data is sourced from our eSIM (i.e. the correct eSIM profile is selected)
- Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
- APN: v-internet | Username: vertigo | Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
- Set the network operator to automatic
- Restart your phone and/or turn on and off airplane mode

I was recommended this company from a friend. There were other cheaper companies online but I was a bit skeptical how reliable they were. Travelkon was also an Australian company which made it more trustworthy. My first experience using Travelkon was smooth and the best thing about it was I was still able to receive SMS messages to my local mobile number while overseas (including authentication/OTP codes). I’ll use Travelkon again in future.
This was a fantastic and seamless experience. Firstly, what great value of 5GB a day for such a small price. Email arrived a few minutes after purchase with clear instructions to follow. This is my second time using an esim, so knew what to expect. I even got it a little cheaper thanks to a promo with Points Hacks, I only paid about $19.
Set my sim up a couple of days before I left and just turned it off until I got on the plane. Given it was so cheap, I half expected average performance when I landed in Vietnam but boy was I mistaken. I turned on the sim when I landed and had instant connection. My 2 friends travelling with me also had the same sim. The speeds I got on my whole trip was amazing, averaging 100MB/s pretty much all the time. I even did a speed test whilst on boat ride in the Mekong Delta, in the middle of nowhere and I got 140 MB/s!
When I returned, I simply deleted the esim. No fiddling around trying to find my original sim cause it never left my phone.
Couldn’t recommend TravelKon highly enough and will be using them for my next trip to Thailand later this year.
