Troubleshooting Guide
SIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running
- Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
- Turn phone off, remove the SIM, insert the SIM back and turn phone on
- Confirm mobile data is sourced from our SIM (i.e. the correct SIM profile is selected)
- Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
- Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
- Set APN and network operator as automatic, adjust only if not working
6.1 APN: ctexcel | Username / Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
6.2 Turn off automatic network selection and manually choose from the list below

Travelkon China esim with unlimited data allowed me to stay in touch with family& friends at home using email, whatsapp, messenger & FB . . and also able to call some in China using data in case of emergency.

Setting up and activating the CMHK eSIM was straightforward and hassle-free. It connects to the China Mobile network in China. Initially, I encountered some sluggish connections on both iPhone and Android devices in certain areas, but disabling 5G resolved the issue. 4G speed proved to be more than sufficient.
For an 18-day trip with typical usage (excluding YouTube), 10GB of data is recommended.

I recently traveled to China and used TravelKon eSIM for 10 days with unlimited data, and it worked perfectly throughout my trip.
The internet speed was very good and stable, and it worked everywhere I went. The best part is that VPN is included, so apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Google services, and even ChatGPT worked perfectly without any issues.

I used TravelKon eSim during my travel to China. The installation at home was a breeze and the activation when I arrived in China was simple and I instantly had data. It would be good to be reminded in advance about the verification procedure in HK which was not required in China and Malaysia.
