Important Notes – activation procedure:
- Plug in SIM Card
- Wait for an SMS from Club SIM
- Click the URL provided and follow the prompt and clearly photograph your passport
- Alternatively you can also download the “Club SIM App”, scan the QR code on the SIM card and follow the registration process
- Note: Insert the SIM card only when are in Hong Kong and register using the Airport/Hotel Wi-Fi – registration outside Hong Kong will not work.
Troubleshooting Guide
SIM not working after registration? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running
- Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
- Turn phone off, remove the SIM, insert the SIM back and turn phone on
- Confirm mobile data is sourced from our SIM (i.e. the correct SIM profile is selected)
- Set APN and network operator as automatic, adjust only if not working
- APN: “mobile” | Username: [blank] | Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
- Restart your phone and/or turn on and off airplane mode

Having unlimited internet while in a foreign country was very helpful as I had to download payment apps that my travel agent had not warned me about. I also was able to access the translator app, which I required quite often in China

Travelkon China esim with unlimited data allowed me to stay in touch with family& friends at home using email, whatsapp, messenger & FB . . and also able to call some in China using data in case of emergency.

Setting up and activating the CMHK eSIM was straightforward and hassle-free. It connects to the China Mobile network in China. Initially, I encountered some sluggish connections on both iPhone and Android devices in certain areas, but disabling 5G resolved the issue. 4G speed proved to be more than sufficient.
For an 18-day trip with typical usage (excluding YouTube), 10GB of data is recommended.

I have bought eSIM & SIM Cards from Travelkon to use in Europe ( all Schengen countries & UK ) & Asia ( China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand ) flor my wife and myself.
I haven’t even once encountered any difficulties, be it connection or the quality of the reception.
The last trip ( last November 25 ) I didn’t enough data, so I bought additional eSIM, which delivered in my mailbox spontaneous and straightaway connected. I will buy eSIM ONLY from Travelkon.

You require wifi to setup, which was available at Shanghai airport, so I could set it up upon arrival in China. The reception is great for all places I have been to so far (Taiyuan, Datong, and most of the way in between). I highly recommend. One thing: you chew through your data quickly, so I recommend buying more than you typically use (if you typically use wifi at home).
