Amsterdam Dance Event 2026: Tickets, Venues and Travel Planning

A favourite artist is a good reason to visit Amsterdam Dance Event, but the right night also depends on the venue, ticket and journey home. For mobile access to bookings and travel updates, compare our Netherlands eSIM plans for Amsterdam before you go.

Choose the experience you want first. That can be an audiovisual concert, an earlier club evening or an overnight party, then build your accommodation and transport around it.

When Is Amsterdam Dance Event 2026?

Amsterdam Dance Event runs from Wednesday 21 October to Sunday 25 October 2026, across Amsterdam. The anniversary edition celebrates 30 years of electronic music, bringing together festival events, arts and culture, an industry conference and creator-focused learning. The scale is well established, with the event attracting 600,000 visitors over five days in 2025.

There is no single festival enclosure. The programme covers 1,200+ events across 300+ venues, so your choices determine where you spend the evening.

Choose Your ADE Experience

These verified options give you distinct starting points.

ExperienceWhen and WhereWhy Choose It?
GIDGE with visuals by Julius HorsthuisThu 22 Oct, 19:30–20:45; Fabrique des LumièresAtmospheric electronic music and large-scale visuals, with an earlier finish
DEEWEEFri 23 Oct; doors 17:30, main programme 18:30–22:30; ParadisoHouse, electronica and synth-pop influences, including 2manydjs and Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul DJ sets
Dave Clarke PresentsFri 23 Oct, 23:00–07:30; MelkwegAn overnight techno and electro programme
Lab DiscoveryWed 21–Fri 23 Oct, 10:00–18:00; Cultural Park WestergasFree daytime equipment sessions, learning and electronic-music culture

Choose GIDGE for a shorter concert-led evening, DEEWEE for an earlier dancefloor finish, or Dave Clarke for an overnight priority. Lab offers a daytime alternative without buying a conference pass.

You can go through the current festival programme if those styles do not match your taste. Filter by date and location before comparing artist names.

Which ADE Tickets Do You Actually Need?

Buy an individual event ticket for a specific party or concert. Consider ADE Pro when conference sessions and professional networking justify the purchase.

Amsterdam Dance Event tickets serve different purposes:

Ticket or ProgrammeWhat It ProvidesKey Condition
Individual event ticketAdmission to the named eventPromoter-specific entry conditions
ADE Pro PassConference, networking and eligible festival accessFestival allocations are capacity-limited; Lab is excluded
Lab DiscoveryFree daytime sessions and cultural activitiesRegistration and wristband collection
Lab On TrackStructured creator coursesAcceptance into the relevant course

Pro access can pause when a venue’s allocation fills. For the event that anchors your trip, an individual ticket is the stronger choice.

Note: No pass overrides age restrictions or entry deadlines.

Register for Lab Discovery

Discovery opens equipment demonstrations and cultural sessions to visitors without Pro. Register through the ADE Lab page, then present your registration ticket at the Westergas information desk to collect the required wristband.

Please remember that paid events around Westerpark have separate admission arrangements.

How Do You Group Venues into a Workable Evening?

amsterdam dance

Choose one anchor event, then add another only when its location and entry conditions fit. A nearby meal or cultural stop often contributes more than a second distant booking.

Thursday: Westergas and GIDGE

GIDGE performs at Fabrique des Lumières, Pazzanistraat 37, in the Westergas area. Its combination of ambient electronics, field recordings and projected visuals offers a different experience from an all-night club programme.

A suggested sequence is:

  1. Spend part of the afternoon at Lab Discovery if its sessions interest you.
  2. Leave time for dinner and a break.
  3. Attend the GIDGE performance.
  4. Return to your accommodation or add a separately booked event with sufficient transfer time.

The two programmes share the wider area, but have different entrances and admission arrangements. Use each venue’s address rather than one general Westerpark pin.

Friday: Paradiso or Melkweg

Both Friday examples are near Leidseplein:

  • Paradiso: Weteringschans 6–8.
  • Melkweg: Lijnbaansgracht 234A.

For orientation, head towards Leidseplein, then follow the relevant street to your saved entrance.

DEEWEE suits listeners drawn to electronic pop, house and label-led programming. Dave Clarke’s line-up includes Luke Slater, Rene Wise and Egyptian Lover, giving techno and electro listeners a stronger overnight option.

Only half an hour separates Paradiso’s scheduled finish from Melkweg’s start. Attending both requires room for cloakroom collection, walking and another entrance queue. Confirm Melkweg’s admission deadline before buying that combination.

Where Should You Stay, and How Do You Arrive?

Choose accommodation around your final event, especially if you expect to leave after normal daytime services.

A room advertised as central can still be inconvenient for your last venue. Compare the complete journey, including the final walk, before committing.

Leave daylight hours available for sleep, food and a slower city visit. If you have a few hours between ADE events, our guide to other things to do in Amsterdam has ideas for filling the gaps without straying too far from the city.

Arriving Through Schiphol

The train journey between Schiphol and Amsterdam Centraal can take approximately 17 minutes. That excludes immigration, baggage and the onward hotel journey.

You can use the NS travel planner to find the most useful arrival station for your address. After a flight from Australia, avoid placing a non-refundable event immediately behind a tight airport connection.

How Do You Plan Your Late-Night Return?

Plan Amsterdam nightlife around the journey back before entering the venue. Record a public-transport route or vehicle collection point, plus a practical fallback.

Search the calendar date on which you leave. For Dave Clarke’s scheduled Saturday-morning finish, use 24 October, not Friday evening.

Enter the exact venue and hotel addresses in the GVB journey planner. Check the departure, transfers and final approach. Dated overnight services are not confirmed in this guide.

If staying close to your venue, compare walking with transport. For a booked vehicle, choose a recognisable collection point clear of the busiest doorway.

Use Any Included Transport

Pro holders can claim five days of GVB travel using a personal code supplied at accreditation collection. Other visitors have an advertised 20% discount on eligible GVB day tickets.

Follow the ADE transport instructions. These local benefits do not establish coverage for an NS airport train.

Keep the Return Manageable

Agree on a meeting point with companions and retain enough money for the fallback journey. At the venue, approach staff if someone becomes unwell or experiences unwanted attention.

Wear comfortable shoes and bring hearing protection, necessary medication and a rain-ready layer. Amsterdam’s autumn weather can be changeable, so check the forecast before you leave and use our guide to autumn weather and packing for Europe to help decide what to bring.

An overnight party followed by an early flight leaves little time for sleep. Allow enough time to get back to your accommodation, rest and reach the airport without rushing.

What Do Pro Delegates Need to Arrange?

Complete pass personalisation and bring your ID or passport. Accreditation must be collected in person.

Felix Meritis, Keizersgracht 324, opens for collection Tuesday 20 October, 14:00–20:00; Wednesday–Friday, 09:00–20:00; and Saturday, 10:00–20:00. It is closed on Sunday.

Stromma Pier 6, Damrak 16, opens Tuesday, 10:00–22:00; Wednesday–Saturday, 09:00–22:00; and Sunday, 12:00–18:00.

Choose the desk that fits your arrival and first conference session. The accreditation information also provides support details. Individual-event ticket problems belong with the promoter or ticket provider.

How Should You Prepare Your Phone for ADE?

Download ticket confirmations, venue addresses and your hotel details before departure. Use the ADE app for favourites and scheduling; a saved event is not a booking.

Dave Clarke’s ticket listing specifies smartphone admission. Follow the provider’s mobile-ticket instructions rather than assuming a screenshot will work.

Compare mobile plans by coverage, validity, allowance and device compatibility. Check calls and SMS separately from data.

Pro includes an optional partner eSIM benefit for one week during ADE. Establish eligibility and redemption before purchasing another plan.

Final Pre-Trip Checklist

  • Agree on companion meeting and communication plans.
  • Before leaving Australia, install your travel eSIM, following its installation and validity-start instructions.

  • Review event changes and transport disruptions close to travel.
