Troubleshooting Guide

eSIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running.

  1. Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi and disable airplane mode before scanning the eSIM
  3. Confirm mobile data is sourced from our eSIM (i.e. the correct eSIM profile is selected)
  4. Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
  5. Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
  6. APN: mobile.three.com.hk | Username: [blank]  Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
  7. Turn off automatic network selection and manually choose from the list below.
  8. Restart your phone and/or turn on and off airplane mode

Convenient and easy! We were travelling to Vietnam and South Korea for 2 weeks and bought this SIM card before we left. The physical SIM card arrived within a few days. When we arrived in Vietnam, it was pretty much plug, turn on roaming, wait 5 mins, and we were ready to go with a 4G connection. The experience was the same when we arrived in South Korea. Having the SIM was so convenient for our late arrivals at each country as we were able to use data to book Grab or check downloaded apps without needing to buy a SIM locally at the airport. Only feedback would be to be notified when we are reaching our data limit as we ran out of data on the last day of our trip and had to use local wifi.

So glad we got this esim. We needed it for Vietnam and Singapore. It connected as soon as we landed in Singapore and Hanoi. Has been very handy for Google maps and sending our photos. Works in 5g mostly with great speed for hotspotting. Also, the esim was a much cheaper plan than the other sim company we have used. Thankyou Travelkon.
