Troubleshooting Guide
SIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running.
- Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
- Turn phone off, remove the SIM, insert the SIM back and turn phone on
- Confirm mobile data is sourced from our SIM (i.e. the correct SIM profile is selected)
- Access Point Names (APN) details may need to be manually entered:
APN: plus.4g
Username: plus
Password: 4g - For Android phones including Google Pixel, Oppo and Asus phones, under the APN settings above, enter these details:
Authentication type: chap
APN Type: default,ia,mms,supl,hipri (copy exactly)
Disallow 2G and restart your phone - Set network operator as automatic, adjust to SoftBank if it isn’t

This was our first guided tour experience, and we absolutely loved it. Owen was an outstanding guide, taking care of everything as we travelled from city to city over the 10-day tour. He managed the accommodation seamlessly, provided great recommendations, and made sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to simply enjoy Japan.
Before this trip, I would have been inclined to plan everything myself based on online recommendations. After this experience, I can really see the value of a guided tour when visiting a new country. Having someone with local knowledge made the trip far more enjoyable, efficient, and stress-free.
A big thank you to Owen for making our first guided tour such a memorable experience. We wouldn't hesitate to travel with TravelKon again!

Wonderful Customer Service!
Overwhelmed and stressed initially as the simcards were not working when we landed. But after assistance from customer service and changing our phones’ setting, we are up and running. Thank you. Will use TravelKon again next time we travel!

Except when we were in a dam, in a tunnel and up by the mountains in Hokkaido the coverage this eSIM provides is very stable

Because I dpend a long time in places, I often burn through extra data, no problems, I just pick up a new ESIM on the go. . Nect trip is 5 months in Asia and a month in Europe. .. No doubt I will be using a few services across that trip. ..

Have never used an ESIM before so was vey nervous about it activating! Wow this card is easy as downloaded in minutes ,turned in on the plane when landing and it activated straight away have been using it so far all over Japan with no issues at all ! I’m 60 and technically challenged but I am so impressed so far with this ESIM I highly recommend this product

I’m very impressed. I initially bought another eSIM which I have been for the past three years for my overseas trips. I was happy with it and shared it with friends. But this year after using 1.5gb of data on the first day the high speed would drop down to 1mps which is useless. It was stated as an unlimited eSIM. I was in Japan and it was using China’s mobile network! I was very disappointed. But luckily a fellow traveller was using travelkon and showed me that it was truly unlimited with high speeds. I was happy to pay for another eSIM for the convenience and zero hassles. It was almost half the price for what I paid for the previous one.
I will definitely be using travelkon again on my future trips.
