Troubleshooting Guide

Please insert the SIM card only when you land in Japan otherwise the SIM may be activated in Australia.

The SIM card activates when you insert the SIM card into your phone, our SIM generally works with no issues, however if you encounter any issues with the SIM, please check the following:

1. Insert the SIM into your phone, turn off any other SIM and any VPN (if applicable)
2. Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
3. Turn on mobile data and wait at least 5-10 minutes for activation – do NOT change any settings 
4. APN should be “internet” (if it is not automatic)
5. Network operator should be automatically selected but if it isn’t please select manually to the SoftBank, KDDI or NTT Docomo.
6. Turn phone off, take out the SIM, insert the SIM back and turn phone on -> repeat the steps above
